Vehicles in Germany's City Discovered Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Authorities mentioned they were notified by a individual who noticed a car in Hanau marked with red-colored liquid

Approximately fifty cars have been smeared with what appears to be human blood in the German municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Cars, exterior walls and postboxes were vandalized, in some cases with swastikas, they announced in a statement.

Officers report they were notified during the night on Wednesday evening, when a man noticed that a car in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a reddish fluid.

The fluid had been placed in the shape of a banned symbol, they reported.

Police then discovered many other marked automobiles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under regulations prohibiting the public display of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement report early analysis indicate the substance was probably human blood.

"At present there remains no clue as to its origin; officials are not yet informed of any harm in connection with the incident," they stated.

Local authorities said they were working "to resolve the mystery" and have appealed to the residents for tips.

An important political figure stated the incident left him without words and had to be resolved quickly.

"This event strikes at the center of Hanau and revives the trauma of the far-right terrorist attack five years ago," he wrote on a platform, mentioning the death of nine individuals by a gunman targeting residents of immigrant origin in February 2020.
